Richard D. Stevens, known to his friends as Rick, was born January 18,1953 in Sheboygan. He died in the early hours of Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Sarasota, Florida.

Rick spent most of his early adult life living and working in Milwaukee at a local bank. In the late 80s he started a company called Advertising Specialties, which did advertising work with numerous gay and lesbian businesses and organizations. He was also a regular customer at Milwaukee's gay leather bars, Wreck Room and Boot Camp.

During the 1990s he was living in Chicago, and eventually moved to Florida to take care of his aging aunt.

During the last year of his life he did what he had always talked about, and that was take the road trip of a life time, driving west, meeting some friends of his from Chicago in Las Vegas and spending time with them, continuing to San Francisco and spending the colder months of 2006-2007 out on the west coast and returning to the Midwest in early spring of 2007.

In the fall of that year in relocated to Chicago and stayed there until the weather got cold and then moved back down to Florida, where he eventually died. He has family and friends in Sheboygan and many friends in Chicago and Milwaukee who will miss him dearly.
