Lyle Duranceau

November 6, 1947
January 30, 1989
Primary Involvements:

Restaurant Manager

In the late 1980's, when people say R-Bar in Wausau is the friendliest bar in the state, part of the reason was this one-man welcome wagon: Lyle Duranceau. Called the "Half Fast bartender", he would introduce strangers around, invite them to join in dice or darts, and, in general, make them feel part of the group.

Lyle also managed and worked at a restaurant on Grand Avenue in Wausau for almost 20 years.
