Warren Breitlow for many years ran the Breitlow Photography Studio in Wauwatosa, doing an excellent business in portraits for families, weddings, school portraits, etc. He was well known for his excellent work.

But the gay community was Warren's "other" full time job. He was extremely active in various organizations, and a leader in the Cream City Business Association, but became most involved with the Cream City Foundation. He was one of the founders of the CCF, serving many years as its secretary and for a time as its President, and continued his involvement serving on its Grants Committee.

In retirement, Warren was a world traveler, making frequent and extended trips to the Far East and other areas of the world.

Warren was always very generous with his money, and was a major contributor to various causes, especially the Cream City Foundation; early in 2007 he pledged $150,000 to the CCF.

Warren passed away on March 11, 2016 at the age of 89.
