Ramie's Adult Books and Novelties advertised the first several years that the 'GPU News' was published. They wrote a "Feedback" letter to the magazine at that magazine's 1-year anniversary thanking the magazine for increasing its business.

According to research by historian Michail Takach, 'Ramie's' was originally located at 8th & Wisconsin, later relocating to 715-723 N. 3rd Street, and then to 730 N 2nd Street-- at which time 'GPU News' was printing. He has located a single photo of Ramie's, when it was located in the Towne Hotel building (which was at 723 N. 3rd Street).

The Spartacus American Bicentennial Gay Guide (1976) did list the business, mis-spelling it as "Kamie's Adult Book Store" but at the correct address, and describing it as: "A wide selection of gay books, magazines, etc., and horny customers". Whether it was still open at that time is uncertain however, as nationally published "gay guides" were typically not up to date with many listings.

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
