Mickey's Dynasty was one of the most short-lived gay/lesbian bars ever in Milwaukee. Its first advertisement invited people to "Mickey's Heart On Party & Grand Opening", and to "Meat Dick, Larry and Timmy".

Previously open as a gay bar by another owner and named Grand Avenue Annex, this location's main attraction was that the nearby popular bar, the Grand Avenue Pub, and the within-eyesight Club Bath, already drew men to the area, and Mickey's Dynasty was one more possible stop.

But with very little else to recommend it, Mickey's Dynasty simply had no clientele; Mickey's Dynasty closed within a month of its opening. And besides, the Club Bath and Grand Avenue Pub were both already struggling, as a result of redevelopment of this area of downtown; both would close within a year of Mickey's.
