The Women Who Want To Dance group organizes activites primarily for lesbian women in the Madison areas. The organization operates the "Women Across Wisconsin" web site to publicize its events.

According to the group's web site:

What is Women Who Want To Dance?

It is a group of women who volunteer to organize activities (for women in the Madison area).

    Mission

To organize activities in which women can meet, communicate, share and help other women in the community.

    Vision

Keep organizing more events and activities for women in the community and (one day) become a non-profit organization.

History of Women Who Want to Dance!

Women’s Dance started in September 2006 with the participation of many women. This first dance attracted more than 100 women who enjoyed dancing “the music we love” (music of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s). The event has been taking place ever since at Club 5, the second Saturday of each month from 6:30 to 9:30 pm... From November until now, 10% of the door cover has been donated to Outreach. On December 2006, non-perishable products were also collected at the door and donated to Wil-Mar food pantry. Through a large network of groups for women and word of mouth, each month Women’s Dance is attracting more and more people.

Any further information about this organization is most welcome.
