We have almost no information about The Loveboat Bar in La Crosse.

The Loveboat was listed in a few issues of national Gay Bar Guides: the 1987 and 1988 issues of 'Damron Address Book', and the 1989 issue of 'Places of Interest'. However it was listed in Wisconsin LGBT media 'Bar Guide' listings only from March 1988 to January 1989 (In Step v5-05 to v6-01). Based on that we can speculate it was active starting sometime in 1986, and considering itself more a 'gay bar' in 1988 until closing late that year. We have not yet located any advertisements or photos.
